Each dawn is the beginning of a new day. By focusing on that mystical moment when darkness gives in to light, we explore that special transition that takes us from dreams to reality.
Taken at sunrise, in seven cities across five continents, Serge Clément’s photographs are the central inspiration for 5 AM, a unique production that blends theatre, dance and photography. Woven into an exceptional musical score these spellbinding images are projected onto a giant screen, in counterpoint to the different scenes and tableaux of the piece. As the character of a woman tries to come to terms with the suffering of the world we too are invited to reflect on the state of humanity.
With this second part to her Earth Trilogy, Paula de Vasconcelos contemplates the world as it is today, creating a show that is both intimate and grandiose.
